Meet Dr. Kimberly Bradley, DC

Owner & Lead Chiropractor, Island Spine Center

Dr. Bradley was born and raised on Martha’s Vineyard. She graduated with a BS in Human Nutrition from UMASS, Amherst, and received her Doctor of Chiropractic from the Palmer College of Chiropractic School in Florida. Kim opened the Island Spine Center in 2012.

Dr. Bradley's Chiropractic Philosophy

Dr. Bradley believes in the full-spine chiropractic treatment philosophy, which states that full spine chiropractic adjustments allow the neuromuscular system to function at its best. Dr. Bradley’s found that by treating the whole spine from top to bottom, she can alleviate their pain or the frequency of intense pain for her patients and fairly quickly get them back to living their life before they were injured.

“I believe in giving the power back to my patients and giving them the tools they need to feel better and move relatively pain-free, throughout life. At my patients' appointments, I provide whole spine treatments that include soft tissue work and I share targeted stretches and exercises they can do at home. By putting some of the power and tools in their hands, it helps them to heal sooner, prevent further issues or problems down the road and improves their overall health.”

Treatment Approach

While many clinics may ask patients to come in multiple times a week, Dr. Bradley takes a different approach. As a patient is healed through chiropractic treatment and spinal adjustments, she will start to decrease the number of office visits, eventually recommending monthly check ins once she has successfully treated a patient’s injury. She has found that these monthly, follow-up appointments can benefit a patient’s overall health and wellness and provide them with a life with less pain, fewer injuries, and optimal movement.

Outside the Office

In her life outside the office, Dr. Bradley takes advantage of the Island’s beautiful landscape and trails, spending time hiking year-round with her husband, Matt and her two dogs. In the summer she can be found on the Vineyard’s pristine beaches. Dr. Bradley is also known to her long-time patients as the Metalhead Chiropractor because of her love of rock, heavy metal music and concerts. Rock On!
